This grant provides a one-off financial support to hand specialists in Hong Kong who intend to learn and gain exposure on CMCJ arthroplasty. It would be a cadaveric course with instructors to demonstrate relevant dissections and the use of implant. It aims to educate on implant profile, indications and surgical techniques on thumb CMCJ arthroplasty. Details of the scholarship are as follows:
- Date: 7 June 2024 (1 candidate), 13 Sep 2024 (2 candidates)
- Venue: Laboratory KeriMedical France
- Eligibility: HKSSH Life Member or paid-up HKSSH full member, preferably a hand specialist with active practice of hand surgery and/or microsurgery
- Number of grant: 3
- Amount: Maximum of HKD 16000 per candidate for sponsorship of one return economy class air-ticket, local transport, registration fees, hotel accommodation fees upon completion of the following:
- Complete the trip in person
- Provide certified documentation of the trip (air ticket receipt, hotel accommodation receipt, attendance certificate of the workshop, for reimbursement after the workshop)
- Final selection of candidates would be subjected to our Councils’ decision.
- Formal notification letter of acceptance will be sent to the successful applicant.
- Deadline for application: 12 May 2024, 17:00.
